This book tells the story of how a local drapers' shop, opened in The Hayes, Cardiff on 31 October 1879 by Mr David Morgan, grew to become a modern department store and a popular Cardiff landmark.
Cardiff's much-loved family-run department store, David Morgan Ltd, closed its doors in January 2005 having provided thousands of customers with unrivalled service for 125 years.
When Mr Morgan died on 21 April 1919, aged 86, his occupation was listed on the death certificate as 'Master Draper'. He left a great legacy to future generations of the Morgan family.
Thanks to the wonderful archive of pictures and memorabilia owned by David Morgan Ltd, the life and times of the company can be brought to life again in the pages of Brian Lee's account.
