About the Author
Journalist Mel Henderson was born in Shetland and was once Britain’s youngest newspaper editor. He started his career on Scotland’s largest weekly newspaper, the Falkirk Herald
In 1974 he joined Ipswich Town as their first-ever public relations officer. He remained in the post for 10 years and also spent 20 years with the Ipswich Evening Star, where he was chief sports writer.
A regular contributor to several national newspapers, he is married and has five children.
